Yes, you can request to move your installation by contacting our support team. Please note that your public static IP address will change when the service is relocated to a different region.

We created SFTPGo and maintain it, along with many of its key dependencies as an Open Source software, so we are able to control and support everything from low-level protocols to web user interfaces. Most other similar offerings use commercial or Open Source libraries, which they do not control, under the hood: for example for low-level protocols. Or they are an interface to other proprietary or Open Source software like OpenSSH or even SFTPGo itself! We think we can provide a better offering, but of course it is up to you to judge. More details.
Additionally we provide dedicated installations for all our plans, this means, for example, that your installation will not have a weak SSH key exchange or cipher algorithms enabled just because another company that shares resources with you needs it.

Each Subscription plan includes prescribed storage limits. You can also configure your users to use a different Cloud Storage backend that you own or purchase separately. Supported storage backends: Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob, other SFTP servers and S3 Compatible, so Blacklaze B2, Wasabi, IDrive E2, Cloudflare R2 and in general any Cloud Storage implementing the S3 protocol. Of course, each Subscription plan includes other resource limits such as CPU and RAM. You can't expect, for example, to subscribe to a "Tiny" plan, add 1TB of your storage, and have the same performance as a "Standard" plan.

No, SFTPGo hosted as Service in the Cloud is a fully managed and supported offer.

We will never deactivate your service if you occasionally exceed your storage/bandwidth limits, instead, we will contact you to discuss upgrading to a different plan. In addition to storage and bandwidth limits, we also consider CPU and RAM limits. Our "Tiny" and "Small" plans are not suitable for installations with many simultaneous connections.

Your data is stored in the region you select during deployment. We currently support the following regions: Europe, UK, USA, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Australia, and Japan.

This is their choice. SFTPGo supports standard SFTP/FTP clients, but also provides an intuitive WebClient that allows non-technical users to explore and manage their files from their browser.

All inbound network transfers are unmetered. Your monthly bandwidth includes outbound network transfers from your service.

Yes! We offer a 10-day free trial. The free trial comes with the features and limits of the plan you selected. Once your trial period has ended, unless you cancelled your Subscription, you will be automatically charged according to the plan you selected and you will not lose any data.
