SFTPGo is an Open Source software, so you can study and audit its code. You can also use SFTPGo for free, but there is no guarantee of support. If you have a question or problem, you will have to find the solution yourself or hope that someone else is willing to take the time to help you. Our plans allow you to purchase a supported copy of SFTPGo that you can use in professional environments.

Open source software solutions might come and go. That is a reality that might have hit you painfully in the past, any time that you were searching for a software solution, found reference to a great sounding one in a blog or forum post, only to go to the project page and learn that it hasn’t been in active development in over a decade. If SFTPGo works well for you, still consider subscribing to a support plan. By doing this, you will help us make the ongoing development of SFTPGo sustainable, and so SFTPGo will continue to work well in the future and keep pace with the advances in technology. Furthermore, with a support plan we establish a channel of reciprocal access and trust and if you should have any issues, for example an edge case with a particular client or such, you are using a SFTPGo copy supported by the authors and maintainers.

No, sorry. Providing support for an Open Source project is a matter of mutual trust. We do not provide one-time support, upon request, for a single feature or issue, we expect our clients to sign up for long-term support plans, we don't provide support to companies that subscribe/unsubscribe each time they have a question/issue. We have limited time and energy and prefer to dedicate it to users/companies who recognize our commitment to creating and maintaining SFTPGo as fully open source project. You must choose whether to use a supported or unsupported copy of SFTPGo.

If you have a "Pro Plan", your feature requests will be considered, but adding them is only included if they are already on the SFTPGo roadmap. Additional costs for new features will be discussed on a case by case basis. If you have an "Enterprise Plan", your feature requests, fine tuning and performance improvements will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be included in SFTPGo at no additional cost.

Enterprise plans are suitable for large installations or advanced security and are customized to your needs. Contact us with details about your use case so we can evaluate our support commitment and provide you with a quote.

We'll provide you with an Security Hardening guide that covers all protocols supported in SFTPGo and we'll apply it together to your installation fit your specific use case.

Early security patches means you will know in advance when a security issue will be publicly disclosed, so you can get ready to update and, in the meantime, apply a workaround if available. This service is available for SFTPGo itself and the dependencies we maintain.

You may need a very specific functionality that does not fit into the SFTPGo open source project, or you may need a special build, for example for FIPS compliance. In these cases we can provide you with a custom build and maintain it for as long as your support plan is active. A custom build may also be needed to apply a fix that is not yet included in an official release.

Once an error can be reproduced, we will fix it no matter what your support plan is. If you have an Enterprise plan, we will work around the clock to provide a custom build with the fix, for other plans you will have to wait for a new release and then a variable time from a few days to a few weeks depending on the severity of the issue.
